Right to Read Night

In partnership with Pendleton Area Advocates for Intellectual Freedom, we are pleased to host a Right to Read Night!

Right to Read Nights will be held all over the country during banned books week, October 5-11. All groups will be reading Chains by Laurie Halse Anderson. More about Right to Read Nights can be found on this web site: https://www.righttoreadnight.com/

We invite you to come and enjoy a discussion with Cassie Owens Moore, a local librarian, about this powerful book.

You can find the book at the Pendleton Library — ask for the Right to Read book at the desk —, or order your own copy through The Pendleton Bookshop.

REGISTER for the book discussion by signing up online (https://www.pendletonyogacenter.com/schedule) OR email welcome @pendletonyogacenter.com

*Pro tip: Attend VinYin Yoga right before the book discussion for a fantastic Friday night combination of self-care and advocacy!

From Christy at InTune Rhythm

Hello Beautiful Souls!

I hope this message finds you well in this new year. I am so excited about the new chapter and new possibilities at our newly named Pendleton Yoga Center!  “Be More” is such a beautiful way to encompass all that yoga asana and philosophy teaches. Just as we practice and strengthen our body with each position and flow, sound healing is also a practice of quieting our minds, reconnecting with our bodies, and re-tuning our nervous systems. We all need and deserve rest — sometimes the best way to do that for ourselves is to intentionally schedule that time.

So I wanted to reach out personally to tell you about various Sound opportunities available each week at Pendleton Yoga Center.

1st and 3rd Sundays: Sound Journaling - Sound + Reflection = InTune Journaling. I am so excited about this class!  Not only does it bring together 3 of my passions: music, mindfulness, and journaling, but it is a powerful Svadhyaya (self-study), tapping into flow, self-awareness, and creativity.

2nd Sundays: Simply Sound - Come rest, reset, and rejuvenate.  Your only job is to relax as you immerse yourself in the soothing vibrations of sound.

4th Sundays: Simply Sound with Reiki - This 90-minutes class has been called “spa-like” by many attendees, because of the combined benefits of Sound Healing and Reiki.

My new Simply Sound ebook can be found on my website: www.InTuneRhythm.com. There you can also join my mailing list to be notified of my original ambient music releases, music coaching, mindfulness tips, and much more. And if you are interested in private sound sessions or bringing a Simply Sound experience or mindfulness teachings to your work, business, or small groups please reach out!

Thank you for reading this far! I hope to connect with you soon.

Be Well and In Tune,

Christy Williamson
